Job summary

Hinds LifeCare is seeking an After Hours Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing services to hospice patients in home settings. You will take after-hours calls on evenings, weekends, or holidays and perform home visits as appropriate, including admission, comprehensive, PRN, imminent death, death, and tuck-in visits.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience in acute care or community health; hospice experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and CPR certification.
• Prefer bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Minimum 1 year in acute care or community health; hospice a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services to hospice patients in home settings.
• Take after-hours calls and perform home visits as needed.
• Conduct admission and comprehensive visits, and end-of-life care visits.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team under Clinical Manager supervision.

The registered professional nurse receives direction and supervision from the Clinical Manager and/or designee. This position will take calls on evenings, weekends or holidays from patients and families and make home visits as appropriate, attending to After Hours needs for our patients and families/Caregivers.
