Job summary

Gracepoint seeks a Registered Nurse for the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit in Tampa, FL to provide direct nursing care to patients with behavioral health disorders, under the Nurse Manager and multidisciplinary team.

The RN will supervise LPNs and Behavioral Health Technicians, implement the nursing process, coordinate orders, ensure patient safety, infection control, and participate in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, patients, families, employees, and the general public.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to multi-task, display decision-making and critical thinking skills, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychosocial, and environmental needs of patients.
• Implement the plan of care based on nursing standards and practice.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of nursing interventions defined in the plan of care.
• Ensure accurate and complete required documentation by Behavioral Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Demonstrate competency in critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
• Monitor staff and continuous work-flow of the unit.
• Share professional and technical knowledge in accordance with policies and procedures.
