Job summary

Sprenger Health Care is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing at Anchor Lodge in Lorain, OH. The role oversees nursing operations, coordinates resident care, and ensures quality standards across shifts and units.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs with LTC management experience, capable of staff supervision, admissions coordination, and maintaining strong relationships with hospital discharge teams.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse with 2+ years of experience in long-term care management.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating resident care.
• Strong communication and public relations with hospital discharge coordinators.

Responsibilities

• Assume Director of Nursing when the Director of Nursing is unavailable.
• Direct, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
• Coordinate staffing and address emergent issues as needed.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, and communicate with discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
• Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
• Act as a Charge Nurse and cover the floor/various shifts as needed for the best interest of the facility.
