Job summary

Sprenger Health Care in Olmsted Falls, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in long-term care management to assume the Director of Nursing role when the DON is unavailable.

Primary duties include overseeing resident care, staffing, admissions/discharges, and coordinating with discharge coordinators and social service consultants. The position may require acting as Charge Nurse and covering shifts as needed, with growth opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse with current license.
• At least 2 years of experience in long-term care management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Director of Nursing when the DON is unavailable.
• Direct, evaluate, supervise resident care and initiate corrective actions.
• Coordinate staffing and address emergent issues.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges, communicate with discharge coordinators and social workers.
• Establish good relations with hospital discharge coordinators and social workers.
• Act as Charge Nurse and cover floors/shifts as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assume Director of Nursing position when Director of Nursing is unavailable.

• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, and communicate with discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
• Establish good public relations with hospital discharge coordinators and social service consultants.
• Act as a Charge Nurse and cover the floor/various shifts as needed for the best interest of the facility.
