Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing in Texas to provide leadership for a Skilled Nursing Home's operations. The ADON will work under the Director of Nurses, assisting with personnel, orientation, supervision, and staffing.

Responsibilities include reviewing residents' records, supervising nursing staff, investigating unusual occurrences, and protecting resident rights in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent customer service and assessment skills.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing or an approved RN program.
• Current nursing licensure as an RN in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years’ supervision experience.
• Good mental and physical health.
• Demonstrates leadership ability and capability to work with all levels of staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong administrative ability with professional competence and flexibility.
• Working knowledge of laws governing skilled care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nurses with supervision, orientation, staffing, and personnel matters.
• Periodically review residents’ records and reports.
• Supervise nursing personnel and assist in investigations of unusual occurrences or abuse, reporting to the Director of Nurses.
• Ensure resident rights are protected in all duties.
