Job summary

Journey in Louisville, KY is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to supervise clinical operations across nursing units, ensure adherence to center policies, and support the Director of Nursing.

The ADON mentors staff, coordinates care delivery, maintains regulatory compliance, and partners with multiple departments to deliver high-quality resident care. A valid RN license and BSN are preferred, with BLS/CPR and prior long-term care leadership experience valued.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with nursing leadership experience; long-term care or geriatric experience preferred.
• BSN preferred, with proven skills in organizing and managing nursing services.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with clerical ability to analyze reports and data.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Nursing Department Leadership: support the DON in staffing, scheduling, and enforcing policies.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: ensure regulatory compliance, participate in chart audits, oversee infection control and care planning.
• Staff Development and Oversight: participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews; promote professional growth and high-quality care.
