Job summary

The RN - Assistant Director of Nursing at Life Care Centers of America assists the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure high-quality patient care in accordance with laws and Life Care standards.

Must hold ASN or BSN and an active RN license, CPR certification, and two years' geriatric nursing experience preferred (post-acute care ideal).

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing throughout employment.
• Two years' geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning and directing Nursing Services.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control.
• Assume DON duties in the DON's absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies.
