Job summary

The RN Director of Nursing at Life Care Centers of America will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing department to ensure high quality patient care in accordance with laws and Life Care standards.

Requires ASN, active RN license, 2 years supervisory post-acute experience, CPR at hire; strong leadership, budgeting, and interdepartmental collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• ASN degree required
• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a post-acute care or related setting
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation and maintained during employment

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, establish benchmarks, and direct staff
• Recruit, select, hire, train, evaluate, counsel, and supervise nursing staff; assign CNAs and LPNs per shift
• Effectively manage department budget
• Direct care provided by nursing staff
• Perform functions of a staff nurse as required
• Manage operations within budget and maintain excellent patient service
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to policies and compliance training
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team
