Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest quality patient care in accordance with Life Care standards and regulations. The role requires an active RN license (ASN/BSN), CPR, and preferred geriatric post-acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from accredited college or university.
• Currently licensed/registered in applicable State; active RN license in good standing.
• Two (2) years' geriatric nursing experience preferred, preferably in post-acute care.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control responsibilities.
• Assume the duties of the DON in his or her absence and provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Demonstrate professionalism and communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
