Job summary

Elderwood at Ticonderoga is seeking an experienced RN to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing and Educator. The role partners with the Director of Nursing to lead staffing, regulatory compliance, and staff development in a geriatric care setting.

You will train and supervise nursing staff, oversee education programs, and ensure high-quality resident care. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits and growth opportunities in an Adirondack locale.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing in the state where work is performed.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience as an RN; 5 years preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Minimum 1 year of geriatric nursing; acute care setting preferred.
• Valid BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred, computer skills and EMR experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing department; assist the DON with staffing and operations.
• Serve as Educator for nursing staff; oversee orientation, in-service programs, and continuing education.
• Supervise Nursing Assistant Training Program and nurse aide supervision; develop education programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and delivery of high-quality nursing services; promote staff development.
