Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks an experienced registered nurse to join the Admit-Transfer Center. You will coordinate patient transfers across a 16-hospital system, directing admissions and bed requests, with emphasis on efficient throughput and clinical communication.

The role requires an ADN with BSN preferred, 5 years RN experience including leadership, and EPIC experience. Night shifts include 7pm–7am, with rotating holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred with education plan if needed within four years of hire.
• RN with 5 years of experience; leadership roles encouraged (Charge Nurse/ Supervisor/ Manager).
• Experience with EPIC and patient flow in a call center environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient transfers to MUSC hospitals from MUSC and non-MUSC facilities.
• Direct transfers, admissions, and bed requests across inpatient, outpatient, clinics and pre-admit paths.
• Coordinate cardiovascular and medical/surgical service requests and act as clinical resource in transfers.
