Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a dedicated, experienced RN for the Admit-Transfer Center, a hub coordinating admissions and transfers across a 16-hospital system in South Carolina. The RN facilitates transfers from MUSC and non-MUSC facilities, collaborating with Patient Placement and directing bed requests across inpatient, outpatient, and clinics.

Requires ADN with BSN preferred, 5 years RN experience, and SC (or compact) RN licensure plus BLS; ACLS for some roles.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred; BSN must be pursued within 4 years if hired with ADN.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience; leadership roles preferred.
• Licensure as RN in SC or compact state; BLS required; ACLS for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers from MUSC and non-MUSC facilities.
• Direct admissions and bed requests across inpatient, outpatient, and clinics.
• Collaborate with Patient Placement and act as a nursing resource.
• Utilize technology for multi-channel communications and throughput.
• Support cardiovascular and medical/surgical service transfers.
