Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina Admit-Transfer Center seeks a dedicated RN to support high-volume admissions and patient transfers across the 16-hospital system. You will coordinate transfers from MUSC and non-MUSC facilities, work with Patient Placement, and use EPIC for communications.

Requirements include ADN (BSN preferred), 5 years RN experience, SC nursing license, BLS, ACLS as needed, and night shifts 7pm-7am, 36 hours weekly with rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred; BSN must be initiated within 2 years.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience; leadership roles preferred.
• SC nursing licensure; BLS required; ACLS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient transfers to MUSC hospitals and coordinate with non-MUSC facilities.
• Collaborate with Patient Placement representatives and act as a clinical resource.
• Direct transfers, admissions, bed requests, and service-specific referrals as needed.
