Job summary

Valley Forge Medical Center seeks a detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator Nurse (RN) to join our hybrid team, primarily on-site in Lakewood, NJ. You will review medical records, assess admission appropriateness, verify benefits, and manage EMR documentation to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing required.
• Experience with EMR and data entry is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records to determine the appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria.
• Complete pre-admission screenings and assess patient appropriateness for admission.
• Upload and maintain patient medical records in the EMR system.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefit coverage.
• Complete insurance precertification as required.
• Coordinate intake and pre-admission services to support an efficient admission process.
• Track and maintain accurate records of referral sources.
• Assist with training admissions department staff on EMR documentation and processes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, referral sources, insurance representatives, and hospital staff.
• Provide information regarding hospital policies, procedures, and admission requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as needed to support admissions operations.
