Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a capable Nursing Administrator to coordinate daily operations with the leadership team, ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and high-quality patient care across assigned ministries.

The role requires RN licensure with progressive leadership experience, BLS HCP certification, and the ability to manage staff, patient flow, and disaster response during night shifts.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Two years’ RN experience with progressive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Directs and educates nursing staff during shifts; contributes to staff evaluations.
• Serves as a resource to staff.
• Manages patient flow within assigned area.
• Provides support and coordination for patient emergencies.
• Opens and leads incident command for disasters until relieved by assigned administrative representative.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing and evaluating staff.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
