Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Administrative Nursing Supervisor to provide hospital-wide clinical and operational leadership during assigned shifts. You will support nursing and interdisciplinary teams, coordinate patient flow, and ensure safe, high-quality care across the organization.

The role requires a NM RN license, a nursing degree, and at least 5 years of leadership or acute care experience, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates of Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• License: NM licensed RN or out of state compact multistate RN.
• Experience: 5 years of relevant experience (acute care-tele or above) and/or leadership nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS required

Responsibilities

• Acts as clinical resource agent to nursing units and allied health departments for problem solving during a shift.
• Coordinates, prioritizes, and optimizes patient flow activities to expedite movement within the hospital and to non-PHS facilities.
• Evaluates patients with the care team to determine level of care and placement.
• Oversees staffing resources in coordination with department leadership and approves placement of staff.
• Responds to codes and events; serves as Incident Commander for HICS events until administration arrives.
• Provides education, coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Manages crisis situations and coordinates follow-up actions with administrators and leaders.
