Job summary

The Center for Alcohol & Drug Treatment (CADT) in Duluth, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee medical care and coordinate nursing activities for patients in recovery. This role involves collaboration with LPNs, clinical assistants, and counselors to deliver high-quality nursing care.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, a 2nd shift schedule (2:45pm–11:00pm) with occasional weekend work, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing certificate from a college or technical school.
• Current Registered Nurse certificated by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• CPR and First Aid certification or obtain prior to patient contact.
• Must pass background studies issued by the Minnesota DHS.
• Knowledge of 245F, 245A.65, 253B.04, 253B.051, 626.557 & 260E rules.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document health history; perform comprehensive physical and mental health assessments.
• Identify medical/mental health problems and plan care; refer as needed.
• Counsel patients and use therapeutic relationships to promote health.
• Teach patients and families to impart knowledge and skills.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Review orders, monitor documentation, and enforce rules and regulations.
• Monitor quality of care per agency policies; ensure standards of care.
• Provide and direct nursing care; supervise nursing staff.
• Review medication use; ensure adherence to policies.
• Assist Licensed Practitioner with history and physicals.
