Job summary
The Center for Alcohol and Drug Treatment seeks an LPN to support the Detox & Withdrawal Management Unit in Duluth, MN. You will work under RNs and an Assistant Medical Director to monitor and medicate patients with acute withdrawal, participate in discharging patients, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team.
Required: MN LPN license, CPR/First Aid, co-occurring disorders training. Shift is 2:45pm–11:00pm with weekend rotation; compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Requires LPN certificate and MN Board of Nursing license.
- CPR and First Aid certification or obtained before direct patient contact.
- Training in co-occurring disorders is required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for all patients.
- Explain procedures to patients to gain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
- Administer prescribed medications per nursing standards and instructions.
- Coordinate referrals and follow up on medical referrals.
- Document services and patient responses clearly and completely.
- Maintain patient records and ensure forms are completed accurately.
