Job summary

Summit Hospital in Show Low, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Observation Unit on the night shift. This fast-paced 10-bed unit focuses on orthopedic, renal, cardiac and stroke patients, with tight nurse-to-patient ratios and a strong emphasis on evidence-based care.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree (BSN preferred), is currently licensed as an RN in Arizona, and demonstrates clinical excellence, teamwork, and compassionate patient education.

Qualifications

• RN with active licensure in Arizona (RN) and BLS/CPR certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• English reading/writing/speaking proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing assessment and monitoring of patients within nursing practice.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary health care team and documents changes.
• Implements prescribed nursing interventions and patient education.
• Participates in discharge planning and patient education to promote continuity of care.
