Job summary

Atrium Health Stanly is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Med Surg IU unit on a full-time basis. The RN will apply the nursing process, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team to deliver evidence-based care.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and maintaining documentation in electronic health records; adherence to ANA ethics and professional guidelines; and potential unit float to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience typical.

Responsibilities

• Engage in professional governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Maintain safety culture and accurate EHR documentation.
• Float to other units as needed to meet patient care requirements.
• Provide patient and family education and communicate effectively with the care team.
