Job summary

The University of Southern California's Keck Medicine-affiliated USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in Los Angeles seeks a Registered Nurse to support the Chief Nursing Officer in leading the patient care team, ensuring safety, recovery and comfort for patients by applying the nursing process and education plans. Responsibilities include teaching, coordinating care, and upholding regulatory standards.

Minimum RN program graduation is required; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Experience treating ortho and stroke patient populations preferred.
• 1 year nursing experience in an acute care setting such as the ICU, stepdown, or ER preferred.
• 1 year+ IR, EP, or Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Two years' experience with Orthopedic and Medical-Surgical nursing preferred.
• Certification in Medical-Surgical, Orthopedic or other specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Chief Nursing Officer in leading patient care teams.
• Coordinate nursing care across shifts and departments.
• Precept new hires and validate competencies.
• Teach nursing students and delegates as needed.
• Ensure compliance with CMS participation, Title 22, CDPH, and related standards.
