Job summary

Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care with a focus on patient education and safety. You will coordinate with physicians and the care team to implement plans, monitor outcomes, and support patients and families throughout hospitalization.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and coordinating with the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories and examining patients.
• Teaches healthcare requirements to patients and families.
• Evaluates patient care and modifies care plan as needed.
• Maintains infection-control and safe patient care environment.
• Documents patient care in charts and records.
• Maintains and checks patient care equipment and supplies.
• Participates in team-based patient care.
