Job summary

BJC HealthCare's Christian Hospital in St. Louis seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within established nursing standards. The role includes assessment, planning, and collaboration with the interprofessional team to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Shifts are 12 hours (3 per week), from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm, with no on-call requirements. Preferred candidates will have pre/post op experience and a Bachelor's degree; RN licensure is required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
