Job summary

BJC HealthCare's Christian Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced setting. The role includes assessing needs, planning and implementing care, and educating patients and families for post-discharge management.

Candidates should hold a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree, RN license, and be ready for a 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. schedule with call responsibilities; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• PACU, ED, or ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on illness management and post-treatment needs and medications.
• Develops and documents plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs and adapts care accordingly.
• Proactively communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.
