Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, AR seeks an L&D RN to provide bedside nursing care across triage, labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. You will interpret fetal monitoring, support vaginal and cesarean births, administer medications, document clearly, and collaborate with the care team to keep mothers and newborns safe.

The role emphasizes Baby-Friendly practices, ongoing AWHONN/NRP education, and growth opportunities within a supportive OB team.

Qualifications

• Current Arkansas RN license (or compact eligible).
• BLS at hire; NRP within 6 months of hire.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course per recommendations; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• ACLS; S.T.A.B.L.E. within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Triage & assessment of OB patients; update care plans and inform providers.
• Labor & delivery: monitor fetal heart monitoring, intervene as needed, assist vaginal and cesarean births.
• Medications & IVs: start IVs and administer oxytocin and other meds per protocol.
• Postpartum & education: manage recovery, watch for hemorrhage and infection; teach newborn care.
• Newborn care: initial checks; support temperature, breathing, glucose stability.
• Teamwork & safety: SBAR handoffs; Baby-Friendly practices; infection prevention and EHR documentation.
