Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department to provide rapid, evidence-based care across age groups. You will triage, assess, treat, and educate patients while coordinating with ED physicians, EMS, and hospital departments to ensure timely, safe care.

Requirements include an Arkansas RN license, BLS/ACLS, NIHSS within 3 months, and Pediatric/TNCC within specified windows.

Qualifications

  • Current Arkansas RN license or compact RN eligible.
  • BLS and ACLS (AHA) active at hire.
  • NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
  • PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and rapidly assess patients; identify and respond to life-threatening conditions.
  • Deliver age-appropriate emergency care (cardiac, trauma, medical/surgical, pediatric).
  • Administer medications and therapies per protocols; monitor and document patient responses.
  • Coordinate patient care with ED physicians, hospitalists, specialists, and ancillary departments.
  • Support and precept EMTs, paramedics, and nursing students per guidelines.
  • Uphold infection prevention standards and ED safety practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement and ED staff meetings.
  • Communicate with patients and families in a kind, clear, and culturally sensitive manner.
