Job summary

Adecco US, Inc. is seeking an OR/PACU Registered Nurse in Grants, NM to join our surgical services team. This role supports perioperative care in the operating room and PACU with on-call responsibilities, direct-hire, full-time employment and competitive pay.

The successful candidate will provide safe patient care, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced environment. BLS/ACLS required; PALS/NRP within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

OR/PACU Registered Nurse

Job Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time

Pay Range: $38–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Variable; includes on-call responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable OR/PACU Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team. This position requires strong critical-thinking skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment, understands sterile technique and sterile-field procedures, and is able to respond promptly to on-call needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients in the Operating Room and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
• Assess, monitor, and respond to patients' clinical needs before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Demonstrate strong critical-thinking and independent decision-making skills.
• Maintain and support a sterile field in accordance with established surgical standards.
• Apply proper sterile technique during procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Monitor patients during recovery and promptly recognize changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory and professional standards.
• Participate in on-call coverage and respond within the required timeframe.
• Promote patient safety and infection-control practices throughout all phases of care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Previous OR and/or PACU nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and maintenance of a sterile field.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.
• NRP certification required within 12 months of hire.
• Must be available for on-call responsibilities and able to arrive at the hospital within 20 minutes when called in.
