Job summary

Mission Valley Post Acute is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The RN will provide direct patient care, supervise nursing staff, and help ensure safe, compassionate care for residents.

The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, has strong clinical assessment skills, and can collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and rehab staff in a fast-paced post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical oversight to residents during the shift.

• Supervise LVNs and CNAs to ensure quality care.
• Document resident care, assessments, and observations accurately.

Pay Rate: $49-$50 per hour, depending on experience

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and clinical oversight to residents throughout the shift.
• Perform comprehensive resident assessments and monitor for changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
• Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition and medical emergencies.
• Supervise and support LVNs and Certified Nursing Assistants to promote quality resident care.
• Communicate resident status and changes in condition to physicians, families, and appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care, assessments, and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to support positive resident outcomes.
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to effectively supervise and collaborate with nursing staff.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
