Job summary

Veilant seeks an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to lead RMF accreditation across in-scope systems, author SSPs, and engage auditors in a cleared environment. You’ll be the primary security advisor bridging our government mission partners and product teams.

You must have TS/SCI with poly, 5+ years in cybersecurity/risk/compliance, direct RMF experience, and hands-on depth in cloud, networks, and security tooling. On-site work in Northern Virginia with flexible remote options.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in cybersecurity, information assurance, risk management, or compliance for classified/unclassified programs.
• Direct RMF experience—built ATO packages and managed relationships with authorizing officials.
• Hands-on depth in cloud and external services, system administration, configuration management, or security analysis tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF accreditation end-to-end for in-scope systems, including SSPs, policies, and AO interactions.
• Review systems regularly for drift and drive remediation to closure.
• Advise on security requirements in architecture and mapping to authorization processes.
• Engage mission teams early to integrate security into design and approvals.
