Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking an ISSM/RMF Lead to manage RMF activities across a network of facilities. The role serves as the security authority for system accreditation, collaborating with government officials, facility leads, and technical teams in multiple locations.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in information systems security, strong RMF experience, and DoD IAM certifications. Travel of 25–50% is required, with TS/SCI and SAP eligibility noted as relevant preferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of information systems security experience including RMF/ISSM responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-37/800-53 and related risk management guidance.
• Hands-on experience with ICD 705 security standards and SCIF accreditation processes.
• DoD8570/8140 IAM Level II or III certification (e.g., CISSP, CAP, CASP+) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF assessment and authorization activities for systems across all program facilities.
• Develop and maintain system security plans, POA&Ms, and accreditation documentation.
• Serve as primary liaison with government Authorizing Officials and security control assessors.
• Coordinate with facility, network, and systems teams to ensure security controls are implemented and maintained.
• Monitor security posture and lead remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
