Job summary

Veilant is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to lead RMF accreditation end-to-end for in-scope systems, authoring SSPs and supporting ATOs. You will own continuous monitoring, track remediation, and ensure compliance with NIST standards while guiding architecture decisions early in product development.

You will work predominantly on-site in cleared facilities in Northern Virginia, collaborating with engineers and government partners to translate risk into actionable security

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is a hard requirement.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in cybersecurity, IA, risk management or compliance for classified/unclassified programs.
• Direct RMF experience with ATO packages and interfacing with an authorizing official.
• Applied depth in cloud, system administration, config management, network architecture, OT or security tooling.

Responsibilities

• RMF accreditation end-to-end: author SSPs, policies, procedures, ATO packages and evidence.
• Maintain continuous monitoring and ensure remediation to closure.
• Advise on security requirements early and map them into architecture reviews across software, wireless and cloud.
• Collaborate with mission teams to embed security as a design input and avoid blockers late in delivery.
• Be the trusted security advisor between the program and government partners.
