RTL Networks, Inc. in Colorado Springs seeks a Cyber Systems Security Engineer to help ensure RMF compliance and security across DoD engagements. The role requires active Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAWF/IAT Level II (Security+), with on-site work.

You will prepare RMF artifacts, support C&A, integrate monitoring tools like Splunk and Nessus, update network diagrams, coordinate with ISSM/ISSO, and participate in Agile/Jira planning to deliver secure engineering tasks.

Competenze

• DoD 8570 IAWF criteria or IAT Level II (Security+) at hire.
• Advanced degree or Bachelors with 0–2+ years experience.
• US Citizenship and active Secret clearance required.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 15 pounds; mobility as specified.

Mansioni

• Ensure RMF standards by communicating with ISSM/ISSO.
• Prepare, maintain RMF artifacts and supporting docs.
• Create/update hardware/software baselines and network diagrams.
• Apply STIGs and maintain RMF-based compliance per policy.
• Support continuous monitoring tools (Splunk/Nessus/DCSA).
• Generate security authorization artifacts; drive remediation with teams.
• Collaborate with CSSEs and mission engineers on cyber findings.
• Participate in Agile/Jira planning to define scope and tasks.
