Fitch Ratings in Chicago is seeking an Associate Director for Structured Finance - RMBS. You will lead end-to-end analysis of RMBS transactions, assess credit, cash flow, legal and structural risks, and present findings at committees.

You will mentor analysts and engage with issuers and investors. The role requires 5–8 years in RMBS/ABS or related markets, a bachelor’s degree (CFA/FRM a plus), and strong modeling and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of RMBS/ABS or related capital markets experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA/FRM considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with cash flow modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable engaging senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple deals.

Responsibilities

• Lead primary and surveillance analyses of RMBS transactions.
• Own cash flow modeling, scenario design, and sensitivity analysis.
• Present recommendations at rating committees and document decisions.
• Drive criteria application and contribute to methodologies.
• Produce high-quality research and issuer/investor communications.
• Manage issuer and transaction relationships; represent Fitch externally.
• Coach and review junior analysts to ensure rigor.
• Monitor market developments and translate insights into viewpoints.
