Job summary

Leidos seeks a Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) Engineer to join the FAA ERAM program. You will perform systems engineering, RMA modeling, and analysis to ensure high reliability and operational availability of air traffic management systems.

The role involves collaboration with hardware, software, maintenance, and program teams across the lifecycle, developing test plans, evaluating field data, and supporting lifecycle sustainment.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 2–6 years with a Master's.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles throughout the lifecycle.
• Experience with requirements development, analysis, documentation, and management.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain RMA requirements and specifications throughout the system lifecycle.
• Perform system-level RMA modeling, analysis, and performance predictions to assess reliability and availability.
• Support system and design reviews, providing RMA assessments and recommendations.
• Develop and support test plans, procedures, and evaluations to verify RMA requirements.
• Perform failure analysis and trending, identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Support reliability growth initiatives by evaluating field performance and trends.
• Analyze field maintenance, operational, and maintenance-data to assess performance improvements.
• Develop and evaluate system sustainment scenarios and lifecycle availability assessments.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware, software, maintenance, logistics, test, and program teams.
