Job summary

AMD is seeking an on-site Failure Analysis Planner and On-site Engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor FA and testing activities for RMAs at a third-party recovery center and L1 FA center.

You will provide technical oversight, review FA results, and ensure proper shipping disposition for AMD Quality Service Centers. Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in RMA operations, repair, debug, validation, failure analysis, manufacturing, or quality engineering.
• Strong knowledge of PCBA and GPU product diagnostics, failure analysis, debug techniques, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to review failure analysis data, test logs, inspection results, and technical documentation to drive disposition and escalation decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate FA activities for RMAs at third-party RMA recovery centers and L1 FA center.
• Provide on-site oversight of RMA intake, inspection, triage readiness, and L1 FA execution.
• Collaborate with third-party center for updates on L1 FA progress, test status, and findings.
• Determine shipping disposition with CQE team and route units for L2 FA when needed.
• Maintain visibility of RMA status, blockers, and shipment plans; escalate risks.
• Coordinate with AMD Quality Service Centers, RMA Program Management, and stakeholders for smooth handoffs.
• Validate RMA documentation, failures, test evidence, logs, and L1 FA summaries.
