Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a Failure Analysis Planner and On-site Engineer in Austin, TX. You will plan and coordinate FA activities for RMAs at a third-party recovery center, provide on-site oversight of L1 FA, and collaborate to disposition units for further L2 FA as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in RMA operations and PCBA/GPU diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate failure analysis activities for RMAs at a third-party center.
• Provide on-site oversight of RMA intake, inspection, triage, and L1 FA execution.
• Collaborate with third-party center for progress, test status, and findings.
• Review L1 FA results and determine shipping disposition with CQE team.
• Maintain visibility of RMA status, priorities, blockers, and shipment plans.
• Coordinate with AMD QA centers, RMA PM, logistics, and stakeholders.
