Job summary

Role impacts include developing algorithms and systems used to train open models with reinforcement learning.

Qualifications

• Depth in RL algorithms, empirical research on model training, or distributed ML systems.
• Strong programming in Python with experience in ML frameworks.
• Ability to design controlled experiments, interpret results, and debug complex behavior.
• Experience turning research ideas into tested implementations and evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test RL methods for reasoning, coding, and long-horizon tasks.
• Investigate stability in asynchronous RL, including policy staleness and trainer/sampler mismatch.
• Turn experimental findings into training recipes and validate improvements on larger models.
