Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts seeks a friendly bartender for our on-site bar near the Riverwalk. You will greet guests, craft and garnish beverages, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Stock control, cash handling, and POS transactions are part of daily duties. Hotel experience is preferred, with comprehensive benefits, training, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and handle payments.
• Manual dexterity to garnish, glassware, and stock handling.
• Ability to stand long periods and maintain relationships with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper and adequate bar setup daily and stocks beverages and supplies.
• Maintains fruit, garnishes, and perishables for quality and presentation.
• Greets guests, promotes and documents drink orders.
• Mixes, garnishes, and serves drinks per standard recipes.
• Adheres to state, federal, and corporate alcohol guidelines.
• Processes orders, payments, and balancing at POS; manages cash and vouchers.
• Locks and stores equipment, deposits cash drops, and secures the bank.
• Abides by attendance rules and performs other duties as assigned.
