River Wildlife Technician, River Wildlife

Work Mode: Onsite

Location: Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Do you love nature and the outdoors? Do you enjoy working with guests and assisting them with their outdoor hobbies? If so, the position of River Wildlife Technician may be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining the River Wildlife hiking/cross-country ski trails.
2. Assisting with dog care (feeding, exercising, bathing) and kennel maintenance.
3. Releasing and dressing birds in relation to scheduled hunts.
4. Assisting the Manager-Land Management, River Wildlife as needed.
5. Operating the trap and 5-stand sporting clays stations.
6. Coordinating canoe and kayak launches along with transportation to these launch sites.
7. Maintaining the lawn areas around River Wildlife.
8. Handling firearms properly by guests and members on gun ranges or hunt fields, including maintenance of personal firearms.

Part-Time opportunities are available with shifts primarily from 8:00am - 4:00pm on weekdays and weekends.

Skills/Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ongoing eligibility to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Experience in hunting, fishing, or wildlife expertise preferred.

The hourly rate ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, influenced by experience, education, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
