RR Rochester Regional Health (RRHS) is seeking a RIT Platform Engineer Co-op to help build and run automation that provisions accounts, manages environments, and keeps platforms healthy. You’ll work on AI tool platforms used daily by RRH colleagues, including Copilot-related tools, while learning cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering practices.

The co-op is full-time, hybrid, starting January 2027, and requires enrollment at RIT.

Qualifikationen

• Must be enrolled as a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
• Familiarity with Python, Git and GitHub, APIs and JSON, automation and scripting, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), Docker, GitHub Actions, SQL.
• Interest in CI/CD, infrastructure or platform engineering is a plus.

SUMMARY

As an RIT Platform Engineer Co-op student , you will help build and run the automation that provisions accounts, manages environments and keeps these platforms healthy. You will see your work used every day. Our team runs the platforms that put AI tools in the hands of thousands of RRH colleagues, including Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot and Copilot Studio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary - Sedentary roles are primarily office-based and require prolonged sitting (67-100% of the workday) with minimal physical effort and lifting limited to under 10 lbs. Fine motor skills are necessary for computer work, writing, and telephone use, supported by clear visual and auditory ability. Cognitive and emotional demands are high due to extended concentration, frequent interruptions, independent decision-making, and information processing. Although physical exposure is low, administrative areas within healthcare environments may occasionally involve contact with infectious agents. Some roles may require flexible hours, TB screening, or a valid driver's license. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
