Job summary

Westside Oaks is seeking a Staff Developer and Risk Manager Combination (RN) in Florida to lead the development, implementation, and facilitation of risk management and mitigation programs across facilities.

You will oversee new hire orientation, ongoing education, and collaborate with regional teams to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements, while guiding investigations, surveys, and corrective action planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Florida.
• Training in Risk Management or enrolled in Florida risk management curriculum.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and center operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint.
• Understanding of accounting and credit functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and assess Risk Management, QA and PI policies and tools.
• Develop Risk Management training for facility teams.
• Analyze QA and performance improvement trends and respond to data.
• Create incident reporting, tracking, and trending systems.
• Provide onsite or remote support during surveys by regulators and authorities.
• Analyze deficiencies and guide risk management responses.
• Coordinate with leadership during investigations and remedial actions.
• Produce reports for Legal Counsel as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
