Job summary

Storage Asset Management is seeking a Risk/Safety Specialist to promote a safe, compliant work environment across all locations. The role coordinates risk management and safety programs aligned with policy and regulatory requirements, working closely with the Manager of Risk and Safety.

The position requires a proactive approach to identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and foster a culture of safety across departments while supporting incident reporting and safety communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related professional experience may be substituted for this level of education.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with knowledge of OSHA Standards and multi-state experience.
• Record keeping principles and procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to see trends in data and develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Workers’ Compensation claim follow-up activities, including ongoing communication with claims adjusters and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze and compile Workers’ Compensation data and reports to support safety reviews and committee discussions.
• Prepare materials for Safety Committee meetings, including data summaries, presentations, and supporting documentation.
• Create and distribute safety communications to field operations and home office teams to promote awareness and compliance.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations for District Manager and DMIT calls to communicate Risk & Safety initiatives.
