Job summary

Kayne Anderson Real Estate seeks a Risk Management Associate/Senior Associate to help develop and manage risk management and insurance programs. Reporting to the VP of Risk Management & Insurance within Legal, this role supports assessment, mitigation, and management of real estate risk across the portfolio.

The candidate will manage claims, liaise with carriers and counsel, maintain data, and drive process improvements while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field with 3-5 years of claims management and insurance and risk management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall risk management initiatives across verticals.
• Manage and knowledge of claims process across property, general and professional liability, Builder’s Risk, etc.
• Liaise with internal and external counsel for litigation strategies.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely to support outcomes.
• Maintain claims data and metrics for monthly reporting.
• Collaborate with internal Kayne business units and external partners on insurance activity.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Support daily insurance requests and renewal data gathering.
• Perform other risk management duties and special projects.
