Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Data Strategist Lead in Principal Investment Risk Management to define and execute risk data strategy and governance, partnering across lines of business and technology teams to deliver trusted data products.

You will lead applied AI/ML delivery—spanning generative AI and agentic workflows—to improve risk oversight, analytics, metrics, and reporting, with ownership from requirements through scaled adoption and safe production outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in data science, computer science, engineering, math, sciences or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, risk management/analytics, data science, or related domain.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills for time-sensitive environments.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Foundational knowledge of data management principles and end-to-end lifecycle management.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Experience building/interpreting dashboards with Tableau or BI tools.
• Cross-functional collaboration to define requirements and drive approvals.
• Deliver with accountability from requirements to production and adoption.
• Emphasis on data quality, governance, and readiness for downstream analytics.
• Adherence to data protection and usage standards for risk data.

Responsibilities

• Own Principal Risk data foundations, including sourcing, integration, metadata, lineage, and lifecycle controls.
• Define and evolve data governance standards and documentation expectations for self-service.
• Deliver risk data products supporting operations, analytics, metrics, and reporting across principal risk processes.
• Establish KPIs for quality, timeliness, completeness, lineage, and control adherence; guide roadmap.
• Design AI/ML solutions (generative AI, agentic workflows, traditional ML) for risk analytics.
• Implement LLM agents and multi-agent systems including planning and human-in-the-loop escalation.
• Translate business needs into designs, acceptance criteria, outcomes, and execution plans.
• Lead end-to-end delivery from requirements to production and scaled adoption.
• Build verification/validation mechanisms like rule checks and evaluation datasets.
• Operate production solutions with monitoring, performance improvements, drift management.
• Document data sources, formats, and flows; validate readiness for analytics.
