Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Risk & Controls Manager in Boston to oversee fund controls, audits, vendor relationships, and order-driven operational improvements. This hybrid role requires in-office presence three days per week, with a strong emphasis on governance and risk mitigation.

The candidate will manage fund audit cycles, maintain governance documentation, and support new fund launches while leading process improvements and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• CPA, CFA, Big Four experience, and process-mapping or workflow tools preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant financial services, asset management, fund operations, or public accounting experience.
• Knowledge of fund operations, custody processes, audits, and operational controls.
• Ability to independently manage multiple cross-functional workstreams.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage fund audit cycles and coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external service providers
• Maintain policies, procedures, governance documentation, and process maps
• Support new fund and strategy launches, fund wind-downs, and other lifecycle activities
• Oversee custody processes, operational controls, and risk-remediation initiatives
• Manage Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing and follow-up activities
• Monitor vendor performance, scorecards, issues, invoices, and selected RFP processes
• Lead process improvements and strategic projects across the organization
