Job summary

RSM in Raleigh is seeking a Risk Consulting Intern to gain hands-on client experience across internal audits, SOX/compliance, and financial reporting controls. You will be paired with a Performance Advisor and work with management levels to deliver value.

Responsibilities include attending client meetings, preparing reports, traveling to client sites, and using MS Office to analyze data. The program supports professional development with conferences, trainings, and potential CPA certification.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least a B.A./B.S. degree from accredited university.
• Major in Accounting (preferred), Finance, Data & Analytics.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Travel to assigned client locations may be required; arrange reliable transportation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
• Certification or working towards CPA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Sit in on client meetings and support conducting consulting projects.
• Prepare reports on consulting services performed for clients; delivering reports and discussing results.
• Travel to client locations as requested to provide consulting services.
• Complete client projects efficiently in accordance with the project timeline and critical dates.
• Leverage proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to analyze client information and document results and recommendations.
