Job summary

IMA Financial Group is offering a Risk Control Intern position for the 2027 summer program. You will engage in site visits, risk assessments, and exposure to property risk engineering, fire protection, and loss prevention while supporting safety initiatives and emerging risk technologies.

You will work with a cohort, participate in department projects, and gain experience across risk management for clients, underwriting, and claims.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client site visits and risk assessments
• Gain exposure to property and risk engineering, fire protection, and loss prevention
• Support workplace safety, fleet, and transportation risk initiatives
• Help build and support emerging risk technology solutions across IMA’s national footprint
• Explore telematics, data analytics, AI, and other emerging risk technologies
• Analyze loss trends and identify practical risk improvement opportunities
• Assist with client reports, presentations, and recommendations
• Learn how Risk Control supports insurance, underwriting, claims, and overall business strategy
