Job summary

IMA Financial Group, Inc. in Dallas, TX invites applications for a Risk Control Intern in the 2027 summer program. You will participate in client site visits, risk assessments, and exposures to property risk engineering, fire protection, and loss prevention.

You will explore analytics, telematics, and emerging risk technologies while learning how risk control supports insurance, underwriting, and claims. You will gain real-world field experience, mentorship from Risk Control professionals, and

Qualifications

• Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Safety or related fields.
• Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in Gamma Iota Sigma or insurance clubs.
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and ability to organize information.
• Collaborative, professional approach and sound judgment with confidential client information.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client site visits and risk assessments
• Gain exposure to property and risk engineering, fire protection, and loss prevention
• Support workplace safety, fleet, and transportation risk initiatives
• Help build and support emerging risk technology solutions across IMA’s national footprint
• Explore telematics, data analytics, AI, and other emerging risk technologies
• Analyze loss trends and identify practical risk improvement opportunities
• Assist with client reports, presentations, and recommendations
• Learn how Risk Control supports insurance, underwriting, claims, and overall business strategy
