Job summary

IMA Financial Group in Dallas invites applications for a Risk Control Intern position for its 2027 summer program. You will engage in client site visits, risk assessments, and exposure to property, fire protection, and loss prevention while contributing to department projects that impact clients and the business.

You will work with Risk Control professionals, focusing on data analytics, risk technologies, and real-world problem solving.

Qualifications

• Anticipated graduation date Spring 2027, Dec 2027, or Spring 2028.
• Interest in insurance-related roles and clubs (Gamma Iota Sigma).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and organized.
• Collaborative, professional approach with confidentiality and discernment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client site visits and risk assessments.
• Gain exposure to property and risk engineering, fire protection, and loss prevention.
• Support workplace safety, fleet, and transportation risk initiatives.
• Help build and support emerging risk technology solutions across IMA’s national footprint.
• Explore telematics, data analytics, AI, and other emerging risk technologies.
• Analyze loss trends and identify practical risk improvement opportunities.
• Assist with client reports, presentations, and recommendations.
• Learn how Risk Control supports insurance, underwriting, claims, and overall business strategy.
