Job summary

Western National Insurance is seeking a Loss Control Intern to join its Loss Control team as part of the Summer 2027 Internship Program. This internship provides hands-on projects, training, and opportunities to develop professional skills within the insurance industry.

As an intern you will participate in loss control education, on-the-job training with professionals, and various projects supporting the LC Consulting Center, while gaining experience in risk information, exposures, and controls.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in insurance or occupational health and safety.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem solve.
• Demonstrated time management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Education - Meeting with department leaders to get a wholistic insurance view.
• Loss Control Education - Supporting your continuing education through safety and Loss Control training courses.
• Loss Control Job Training - On-the-job training with Loss Control professionals including visit preparation and onsite customer visits.
• Supporting the Team – Various projects and assignments developing internal resources, ongoing support and research for our LC Consulting Center.
